The Inspiration
Back in his carnie days, filmmaker Keven Undergaro had worked with the world's most unusual and, at times, most unsavory of characters. One summer in particular he worked alongside a man named Gregory. The two bonded quickly over their mutual love of movies and movie making. Long days in the brutal Northeast humidity were offset exchanging film quotes and quizzing one another on rounds and rounds of film trivia. Rare conversation for carnies, it was quite the welcome relief for Keven and a match made in heaven. Then one morning Gregory did not show up for work and Keven was heart broken. Months later, it was revealed that Gregory was away serving life in prison for a number of atrocious crimes. He emailed Keven, relaying all the gruesome details. He also regretted not telling Keven the truth in person because seeing the ensuing shock and fear on Keven's face would have been, according to Gregory “exciting.” He said Keven would remain in "every one of his thoughts”. Keven soon realized, he didn't just have a buddy, he had a Serial Buddy. Grateful to have loved and lost, he penned ADVENTURES OF SERIAL BUDDIES as an homage to his amazing summer and dear friendship with Gregory.

A closet movie buff and fan of Keven's original style of moviemaking, Tom Lynch was making his mark on Wall Street when he worked with Keven and Maria on their first film.
